Nearly four weeks into the fall TV season, cable staples such as ESPN’s “Monday Night Football” have had no problem drawing their traditional fans. The NFL game was again No.1 on the Top 25 of favorite cable shows in black households, with 2.4 million tuning in.

VH1 was the most watched cable network among those on the Top 25, with 5.5 million watching four of its shows on the chart. OWN was second for most watched title, with 4.7 million tuning six of its shows. USA claimed third place with 3.3 million across three programs.

The total number of viewers for the Top 25 most popular cable shows in black homes, according to Nielsen, 25.5 million, or two percent more than the previous week.
