Bad Rap:
Three Asian-American rappers, were followed around by Salima Koroma, a Columbia University film student and writer for HiphopDX. Decipher from Philadelphia, Awkwafina from Queens, NY, Rekstizzy also from Queens, and Dumbfoundead of Koreatown, Los Angeles. Salima followed a little bit of our journey as rappers dealing with our identity as Asian-Americans in Hiphop which is a tale rarely told. From college Asian nights to shows at Midtown NYC clubs to video shoots all over the country, Salima was there to document. The documentary just premiered at Columbia University this weekend and will be available for public view very soon.
