RapRehab is glad to support Beats, Rhymes & Relief 501(c)3 is a Washington D.C. based non-profit with their mission to use the arts in raising awareness and support for global humanitarian relief efforts. We are focusing on hip hop music as the main thrust of our communication efforts for this year. Our approach is to bring people together and foster positive relationships through hip hop music.
In an effort to create a grass roots movement the “Making Beats Count” video contest is a part of our “Calling On Your City”campaign to increase the level of community engagement and involvement in social impact issues.
Join us on June 1, 2014 at the Venice Art Walls in Venice Beach, California from 11:00 -8:00 pm
At each event we strive to bridge gaps in community, culture, age and gender through a day of community engagement and ideally some kind of act of social good. In the past we have done book bag drives, winter clothing drives, free haircuts etc for the youth in the community. Plus watching some of the world’s most conscious MC’s make the video, makes for a great day.
By painting the mural with messages of peace and community involvement as well as bringing the musicians and community leaders out to engage the the youth we believe we are able to inspire participants and neighborhood residents to participate in local programs for social good for years to come.

Again this is a clean POSITIVE MESSAGE – NO RELIGION NO POLITICS! More of a call to action for people to get involved – themes like – feed our babies – educate our children – come together – music and art for a good cause- hip hop saved my life etc!
